It is quite typical to see difficulties with organization in individuals with language/literacy disord ers and learning disabilities, and it can be the case that the se organizational challenges are recognized before the languag e/literacy disorder and/or learning disability is suspected. T his class is meant to increase students’ awareness of the sign s and symptoms of language/literacy disorders and learning disabilities in children, adolescents, and adults. Students will learn to reco gnize red flags in their clients, and they will also learn whe n and to whom referrals should be made.
